The main Rivers are Negro (which surrounds the city of Manaus), Amazonas, Solimões, Madeira, Juruá, Purus, Issa, Japurá and Uaupés. The climate that prevails in Amazon is equatorial with an average temperature of 26 ° C. It is also the best preserved state of the country, with 98% of its original forest cover.
Nature tourism is the main attraction of tours in the Amazon.
