Eat vegetables and avoid heart disease

If you are genetically susceptible to heart disease, know that your indexes of risks and problems can be reduced by eating raw fruits and vegetables. This finding came from a survey with more than 27,000 people around the world, including Europe, China and Latin America.

According to this research, five or more daily servings of vegetables and fruits are sufficient to weaken the versions of a gene on chromosome 9. ”Our results support the public health recommendation to consume more than five servings of fruits or vegetables [daily] in order to promote good health,” said Professor Sonia Anand from McMaster University (Canada).
